On this page we will have a character breakdown of each character and audition and callback dates!! Also we will post the callback list on this page for you to view.

Character Breakdown
 
After It Happened

*Anna Maria*: Must be able to present herself as a young emotional girl who has recently lost her mother. (main lead role-will be called back)

 

Jeanine: Mother who works for a living. Must portray a woman in her mid-30's/40's.

 

*Wendy*: A sensitive woman who is homeless. The female leader of the group. (lead role-will be called back)

 

*Susy*: Has a New York attitude. She is a homeless woman who likes things the way she wants them. (lead role-will be called back)

 

*Randy*: He is the comical character that does not really pay attention. He should be able to make some jokes. (lead role-will be called back)

 

*Bob*: He is the male leader. Wendy and Bob are “married”. He should be able to portray a sketchy business man. (lead role-will be called back)

 

Mr(s). Gomez: A teacher for about the 4th grade. Should be a smart character. Male or female role.

 

Police Officer: A serious man/woman. Should be able to deal with business seriously.

 

Principle: Straight forward man/woman. Must be serious.

 

Counselors: This non-speaking role is important to help the children after they find out about 9/11.

 

Donald Trump: A business man who nows what he wants.

 

Cliff/Cleo: A person who will be carrying luggage to check into the apartment complex.

 

Robby/Rolanda: This non-speaking role should show a polite man/woman who does work at apartment complex.

 

Alfred/Alayna: A boy in the class. Must be a shy boy/girl.

 

Patricia/Patrick: Outspoken friend of Anna Maria's.

 

News Reporter: This is a fact to fact character.

 

Camera Man: This non-speaking role follows the reporter on the street.

 

Ensemble/Class: This non-speaking role adds richness to the show.

*Fred*: Typical preteen boy who hates to read.

 

Jill: Preteen girl who loves books and the library.

 

*Book Master*: A bizarre, funny man, with a magical air.

 

Mrs. Williams: The librarian.

 

*Meg*: Teaches younger children, 16.

 

*Jo*: A tomboy, sits with her elderly aunt, 15.

 

*Beth*: Shy, 13.

 

*Amy*: Prim & proper, 12.

 

*Marmee*: Their mother, wise & gentle.

 

*Alice*: A pretty little girl with long blonde hair.

 

Mouse: A small gray mouse, excitable.

 

Caterpillar: An arrogant insect.

 

Bird: A frantic fowl.

 

Mad Hatter: Nutty as a fruitcake.

 

March Hare: A wild hare.

 

Dormouse: A sleepy rodent, can be the same mouse listed above.

 

*Mock Turtle*: A sad sea creature.

 

*Sherlock Holmes*: A super-slueth, about 40.

 

*Dr. John Watson*: Sherlocks companion, middle-aged.

 

Col. Barkley: A portly man in his late 40's.

 

Nancy Barkley: His wife, an attractive middle-aged woman.

 

Jane Stewart: Their maid, 20's.

 

Coachman: Their servant, any age.

 

Miss Morrison: The Barkley's neighbor, 30's.

 

The Crooked Man: A frightening looking man, 50.

 

*Mrs. White*: An elderly country woman.

 

*Mr. White*: Her husband, also elderly.

 

Herbert White: Their son, 30's.

 

Sergeant/Major Morris: A gruff war veteran.


Visitor: A somber man, any age.

 

*All roles with stars (**) next to them will be called back.*

 

Audition & Callback Dates
The auditions will take place September 17 & 18 and callbacks will take place on September 19 & 20.
 
Things to Bring to Your Audition
When you come to the auditions you need to have a monologue that was given in the audition packet and need to bring the filled in audition packet to auditions.
